Dear Parents,

Our summer reading lists are designed to enrich your child’s summer reading. A 1985 report by the National Commission on Reading declared that reading aloud is the single most important contribution that parents can make towards their child’s success in school. We hope that your daughters will read many more books than those required! Please check out our links to web sites with suggestions for additional books your daughters might find interesting and engaging to read.

The 2008 award winners are the following:

• Newbery: Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! Voices from a Medieval Village by Laura Amy Schlitz
